DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY ARTS COLLECTIVE ART HOP EVENT!

Featured Artist:  Tatyana Popova

     The Downtown Community Arts Collective (DCAC) is hosting ArtHop on
Thursday, January 8 from 5-8 pm featuring the works of artist Tatyana
Popova.   Art show at DCAC located at 754 P Street in downtown Fresno.
Please come by and meet the artist and enjoy the ArtHop reception with Hors
de'ordures and wine.  The public is invited; there is no charge.

 

     Tatyana Popova was born in Dzambul, Kazakhstand and graduated from the
Art Branch of Pedagogical Teacher's Training University in 1986.   Artist
Popova taught painting and graphics at Art College in Almaty, Kazakhstan,
before immigrating to the United States in 2000.  For 25 years, she has
explored different forms of expression in oil, watercolor, acrylic painting
and the graphic arts.  Her primary interest is in the human condition and
its existence.  Artist Popova dichotomous use of theme is apparent in her
varying visual techniques.  Her artistry is to be seen through a lens of
cognitive and cultural sharing.  Using abstract painting as a language to
communicate a mutual experience,  Artist Popova creates a unifying event for
both artist and viewer.  

 

    The DCAC is a non-profit art gallery, and provides mentoring programs
for youth.   It's mission is to support Valley artists by providing studio
space for those committed to collectively giving back to the community.
DCAC also aims to encourage young, underprivileged youth by fostering an
environment of creative expression through shared learning at weekend
workshops.
