Thursday, July 17 ArtHop @ Sycamore Art Gallery featuring 30 photographic
prints by artist Rex Williams presenting new images and some old favorites.
The Art Prints of nature from various locales, ranging from the local
foothills and mountains to the central coast and on to parts of Idaho and
New Mexico.

 

Rex's work focuses on small pieces of nature that are taken out of the whole
and presented up close and personal.  The hope is to invoke the same sense
of peace and quiet that the photographer felt when finding the image.  All
work is done on 35mm slides.  The slides are scanned on a Tango drum scanner
for an archival scan.  The images are then printed on Fuji Crystal Archive
Paper in a Chromira.  The result is an archival print with the look and feel
of traditional photographic processes, and the image quality that only
digital can provide.
