Deanna Sue Bristow
  Reception & Demonstration at Allard's

  Deanna Sue Bristow is a native Central Californian. Born in San Luis Obispo, raised in the Central valley, she returned to San Luis Obispo for her education. “Central California has a diversity that is unique in this world, rocky coast line to alpine splendor with the great variety between them, all within a morning’s drive.” This mixture has inspired her to paint a wide range of scenes, from agricultural topics to nature’s creations. 
   
  Now retired from the U S Forest Service, her experiences have been unique compared to most. From fires to recreation, planting trees and clearing roads, she uses this background to give her paintings life.
   
  Deanna’s style, while representational, flows with rich clear color. She is best known for her scenes of rocks and water.
   
  Deanna has been recognized in numerous shows, with many awards including “Best in Show, Madera Arts Ag Show, 2007.” Her work won the “Fresno County Blossom Trial” in 2005 & 2007. 
   
  She teaches art programs for Adults as well as Children, gives demonstrations of her painting techniques, and has served as judge for numerous art shows.
   
  Deanna has received her signature award in the Alliance of California Artists and the Society of Western Artists. She is a member of the Clovis Art Guild.
   
  Deanna will be demonstrating her painting techniques at Allard’s on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008, from 11am – 2pm.
   
  Her original watercolors, & watercolors on canvas, are on display at Allard’s, 5350 N Blackstone @ Barstow, Fresno, now through August 6th.
