The mission of Central Valley Dance is to offer a venue for dance troupes of various styles and cultures to show and educate everyone about their commitmment to dance, their cultures, religion, history, and educate everyone of distant lands and times.

This annual event is produced to Celebrate Unity in Diversity through the Language of Dance. It showcases dances performed by talented people who come from all walks of life and of many different cultures, political affiliations, religions and economic backgrounds. Never has the Central Valley seen all these people come together under one roof to celebrate and understand each other.

Dance is a language that transcends all barriers.

In 2006, two crazy people organized the first one day Dance Festival. In early 2007, the Festival got involved with the Rogue Festival drawing 7 dance troupes. By late 2007, it grew to a 2-day event with 17 groups/ performers for a total of 153 people. Today, Central Valley Dance still operates on an extremely low budget, relying heavily on donations and volunteers who offer their time and effort.

CVD is composed of 3 members, all of whom work full time outside of the organization, we are committed to the cause of unity and want to offer the Central Valley awareness of our diversities but unity as a people.

Help us with our cause by offering a gift of self and unity at this year's Central Valley Dance Festival. With your sponsorship and support, CVD will continue to excel in the pursuit of our mission.
