*Woodward Shakespeare Yukks it up for the Holidays*
*The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)* will play in
December.
WSF is back at work this winter for its first independent, off-season
production, *The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged*) by the
Reduced Shakespeare Company*,* beginning December 12 and running for four
performances only!
Treat yourself this holiday season to an irreverent, fast paced romp through
all of the Bard's plays in just 97 minutes. So loosen your doublets, sort
out your singlets, clutch your codpieces and join these madcap men in tights
as they weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare's comedies,
histories and tragedies in one terrific rollercoaster ride that will leave
you breathless and helpless with laughter!
Shakespeare may well be turning in his grave, but the show that's become a
cult classic transforms his entire works into one of the funniest evenings
on the planet. As has often been said, "If you like Shakespeare, you'll
like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you'll LOVE it!"
Praised by the Los Angeles Times as 'wildly funny' and by the Montreal
Gazette as 'the funniest show you are likely to see in your entire
lifetime', the London's longest-running comedy has since conquered the
entire globe.
*THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (Abridged) *features the talents
of Daniel Moore (director, WSF's *Taming of the Shrew*), Brandon Petrie and
James Hume (both from the 2008 Rogue Festival production of *Art*) and will
run December 5, 6, 12 & 13 at the Cal Arts Academy Severance in the Tower
District, Fresno. Regular ticket price is $15 and an opening night
Champagne Reception is $25. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Tickets may be reserved
at the Woodward Shakespeare Website, www.woodwardshakespeare.org. All
proceeds from this show go toward production expenses for Woodward
Shakespeare's FREE Shakespeare in Woodward Park in 2009. For more
