Cost: $40 per day/$30 per day for Met members.

Give your children the gift of fun-filled learning this holiday season.
Children in grades 1-6 are invited to participate in day long camps
packed with engaging and entertaining activities.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn and explore in a unique
Museum setting.  Daily enrollment is available.  Knowledge is the gift
that keeps on giving!  Call the Met at (559) 441-1444 today  to reserve
your child's place in this year's Winter Camp.

December 22 - Paper or Plastic?

Can recycling be art? Let your child's creativity loose for a day of art
and science using everyday objects! What art can you create with a milk
jug? What is the science behind recycling? Have you ever made your own
plastic? Come join us at the Fresno Met for an activity filled day of
science, art and exploration.

December 23 - Re-Made at the Met

Discover the art and science behind fabric. Have you ever wondered where
cotton comes from? Or what type of fabric is strongest? Come to the Met
to explore just how fabric is made and what you can make with it. Enjoy
a day of fabric science and art activities at Re-Made at the Met.
Discover the artist and scientist in you. 

December 29 - It's All About Time

It's all about time! Have your child join us for a mind expanding day in
which they explore questions such as: What is the history of time? Why
does a sun dial work? How did people in the past tell time? Campers will
make their own time keeping devices, calendars, solar system mobiles,
and much more - it will be time well spent! 

December 30 - Chinese New Year

How do you say Happy New Year in Chinese? - Kung Hei Fat Choi. Learn how
the Chinese celebrate New Year. Campers will learn how to perform a
traditional lion dance, make their own lion costume, noise maker and
more. 

December 31 - New Year's Fun-New York Style

Do you know why a ball is dropped on New Year's Eve in Times Square?
Children will experience the excitement of New Years, New York style!
Campers will experience New Years traditions in the U.S. and around the
world, as they follow 12 midnight, New Year's Eve, as it makes its way
through time zones around the globe. At the end of the day, campers will
have constructed their own Times Square and dropped their own New Year
ball!
