EVENT DETAILS:
The Fresno Art Museum in partnership with the Mexican Consulate of 
Fresno has teamed up for the 4^th Annual Contemporary – Contemporaneo, 
an interaction of Mexican and American artists.  Created four years ago, 
the project was the first of its kind where a local museum partners with 
a Mexican Consulate to address contemporary issues and build cultural 
bridges through a bi-national artist-in-residence program.

This year, we are pleased to present the 4^th Annual Contemporary – 
Contemporaneo* *program that has evolved to be a preeminent artist 
experience unlike others currently in the region.

An artist from Oaxaca, Mexico who demonstrated a promising career was 
selected and paired with one counterpart from the Central Valley to 
participate in this year’s program.


2008 Contemporary - Contemporaneo Artists:

Arian Dylan Lujan Puinelo - Oaxaca, Mexico
Quinn Gomez-Heitzeberg - Fresno, CA

For four weeks, the two artists have interacted and exchanged artistic 
ideas while developing a better understanding of one another’s country.  
Their exhibition, that runs October 10 through November 2, will 
represent work created during their residence as well as other current work.
