DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY ARTS COLLECTIVE ART HOP EVENT!

Featured Artist:  Stephanie Pearl

     The Downtown Community Arts Collective (dcac) is hosting an Art Hop
event on Thursday, May 7th, featuring the works of artist-in-residence and
dcac founder, Stephanie Pearl.  The art hop reception will be held at 754 P
Street in downtown Fresno from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.   Hors d'oeuvres and wine
will be served.  There is no charge to attend and all are welcome.  

     Stephanie Pearl is a painter working primarily with acrylic and mixed
media on wood panel.  Pearl's work has been on display at California State
University, Fresno, Fig Tree Gallery, Arte Americas, Fresno Arts Museum and
Merced Multicultural Arts Center.  At the Art Hop event, Pearl will exhibit
a series of paintings and an installation titled "Filter", an exploration of
art influenced by environmental imprint.       

The Downtown Community Arts Collective is a non-profit art gallery and
mentoring program for youth.  The dcac's mission is to support Valley
artists by providing studio space for those committed to collectively giving
back to the community.  dcac also aims to encourage at-risk youth and young
adults with mental health challenges by fostering an environment of creative
expression through shared learning at weekend workshops.
