Girl Scouts Seek Nominations for Women Inspiring Girls Awards 2010!

 

Fresno, CA- Girl Scouts of Central California South (GSCCS) is seeking
nominations to recognize women in our communities who have distinguished
themselves through outstanding service, leadership, and as role models for
girls.  Our local program was inspired by Girl Scouts nationally, and the
Women Inspiring Girls Awards Luncheon honors women from throughout the
valley who have a strong commitment to their community.

 

Nominees must live or work within the geographic boundaries of the Girl
Scouts of Central California Council Fresno area; which includes: Fresno,
Madera, Kings and Tulare counties. Nominees should exemplify extraordinary
civic contribution; professional and/or philanthropic commitment and
achievement; be a role model for girls, demonstrating a commitment to
improving the lives of girls and/or women.  Women nominated must demonstrate
initiative, integrity and leadership characteristics.  Nominees are not
required to have been or currently be a Girl Scout. "2010 is the second year
we are celebrating women in our community whose exemplary achievements have
benefited so many,"  said Dr. Cathy Ferguson, CEO of GSCCS. "We encourage
you to nominate distinguished women from our community, and look forward to
honoring three of them in June, as women of courage, confidence and
character who make the world a better place."  The deadline for nominations
