SEEKING ARTISTS:
Our school is in desperate need of an artist to conduct class presentations
on Thursday, February 26th from 9-1 pm local here in Fresno. We would like
the focus to be on "Creating Murals" however we are open to other ideas. The
ages of children is 3rd-6th grade. I can be reached at 917-5963 Raquel Ochs.

Year after year, we?have requests from the Rogue audiences
for time to meet and speak with the visual artists featured in
the Rogue Gallery. For 2009 Rogue is offering for the first time
a scheduled show where you can Meet the Artist.
For just a ticket price of $4 (which will go directly to the artists),
you can sit and listen to each of our talented working artists talk
about their art and how it is to be an artist. You will also have the?
opportunity to ask them questions within their 15 minute each
time set. Each showtime will feature 3 rotating artists. This year
Ashtree Studios has set up the premium Rogue Gallery. See pages
24 & 25 of the Rogue Map, which you can also get at Ashtree Studios,?
for more information.

Starting with 5:30pm, we'll showcase 10 minute teasers of a variety of
2009 Rogue performers.
And then come back again for the Thursday, March 5th 5-9pm ArtHop
at the Rogue at Ashtree Studios.

Clovis Art Guild will be hosting Carole Love at the General Meeting on March
11, 2009 7:00 p.m. at the Clovis Veteran's Hall (5th & Hughes Avenues in
Clovis). Carol will be demonstrating Pastel techniques.
Carole Love, delayed her art career for her work in the theatre. For the
past 25 years she has returned to art and has won many awards for her work in
China Painting;, oils and pastels. Carol has been a past president &
vice-president of the Alliance of California Artists, and a past president of the
Antelope Valley Allied Arts Association and vice-president of the Antelope Valley
Arts Council. She has art in the following galleries: Studio Gallery in
Burbank, CA, Gaea Hawkins Gallery in Lancaster, and the Lancaster Museum and Art
Gallery, and the Fresno Museum of Art. She has won awards at the Antelope
Valley Fair, the Mojave Art Institute, the San Bernardion Art Institute, the
carnegie Instutite in Washington D.C.,Alliance of California Artists show at
Sorensons Studio and City hall and the North Fork Art Show. Free to CAG members.
Guests: $5.00.
