Mark Wagner will be the special guest artist-in-residence on July 8 as he
works on a 3-D sidewalk chalk art creation at the Tulare Plaza entrance to
Chukchansi Park. In honor of National Summer Learning Day, students will be
able to help him complete the piece at the Fresno Grizzlies game, starting
at 6:05 pm.

Wagner is the mastermind behind the KIDS' CHALK ART PROJECT which set a
World Record in Alameda, CA in 2008 for the largest chalk drawing involving
6000 people, 90,000 sq. ft. and more than two weeks. He holds an MA from
John F. Kennedy University and a BFA from Pratt Institute and is involved in
the film industry as a professional concept artist. Wagner recently worked
at PIXAR/DISNEY on a new feature film in production, in addition to his work
as a graphic designer, illustrator, musician, and fine artist.

Mark has taught art and creativity in a variety of venues from elementary
schools to graduate schools to prisons, inspiring people of all ages to gain
access to their own creative spirit.

The public is invited to view the work-in-progress through the gate at
Tulare Street and Broadway throughout the day and evening of July 8. Tickets
to participate in the co-creation are available at the Grizzlies ticket
office. For more information call 326-2075.
