You are invited to a private screening of the movie "Fresno" on July 13 at the Tower Theatre.

The film by documentary filmmaker Steve Payne of Los Angeles, is a story that came out of a New York Times story about Fresno's foreclosure/skateboarding scene.  Payne said that "My film, much like a great Bloody Mary, something that sounded odd at first blended into the perfect cocktail.  The added surprise was that the main skateboarder in my film, Josh Peacock, just bought a foreclosed house.  He paid 55% less for this house than it's selling price in 2006.

"Fresno turned out to be the perfect city to study as well in that it's a real city (483,000), but still has a somewhat small town feel.  It's also a financial center as well, so knowledgeable interviewees were not difficult to find."

Film clips can be found on the movie Website http://www.fresnothemovie.com
