Call for Entries:   REQUEST FOR SUBMISSIONS TO EXHIBIT AT FRESNO CITY HALL

The Fresno Arts Council (FAC) is accepting submissions from artists, art
groups and art organizations to exhibit artwork at Fresno City Hall next
year from January 1 to December 31, 2010.  Time period for exhibition is
approximately one month.  Mail proposals to FAC, 1245 Van Ness, Fresno, CA
93721.   Deadline is September 30 and proposal must include the following:

1.	Letter of Intent: requesting consideration (one page); include
contact information: name, address, telephones (home, work, cell), e-mail
and website addresses. 

2.	Description of art work: media, style, dimensions and general
subject matter (no more than two paragraphs). 

3.	Artists' resume detailing previous exhibitions (art groups/art
organizations submit a detailed background description of organization and
the resume of one contact person). 

4.	Ten slides and/or photographs and/or color laser copies of art work
to be considered for exhibition (art groups/art organizations submit one
example of art work from each artist). 

5.	Enclose a stamped self-addressed large envelope to return your
materials, or they become the property of FAC.            

 

Open Entry:  All working artists, art groups and art organizations are
eligible to enter (with preference given to artists of local or regional
residence).  The letter of intent and supporting materials will be reviewed
by the Exhibit in Public Places Review Panel (Panel).  The decisions of the
Panel and FAC are final.  The results will be sent via e-mail and all the
accepted applicants will receive a letter of acceptance and an agreement to
be signed and returned within 30 days.  If an agreement is not received
within 30 days, it will be assumed that you are no longer interested in
exhibiting at City Hall and another proposal will be selected.  Thank you,
