Here's part of the review of Little Women in the Fresno Bee

"...there are aspects of this production (playing through May 17 at Roger
Rocka's Dinner Theater), which is directed with a brisk, sweet efficiency by
Elizabeth Fiester, that still soar. The four March daughters and their
beloved mother, Marmee, collectively possess a sterling set of vocal cords.
>From the first time we meet the manic Jo (played by Taylor Abels) and her
siblings, Amy (Nicholle Cash), Meg (Ashley Taylor) and Beth (Lorraine
Christensen), the singing is strong and stirring in such numbers as "Our
Finest Dreams," in which the girls anticipate the future. Add a well-cast
Marmee (Jennifer Riordan-Goettsch) into the mix, and it's fun to see the
camaraderie of these five major players on stage.

 

Central to the story is Jo, of course, and the energetic Abels tackles the
role with lots of vigor. She has an outstanding belt, and when it's her time
in the spotlight and it's just her and the audience -- as in the stirring
first-act finale number "Astonishing" -- the impact is electric
