Living Cultures Grants Program provides funding for non-profit organizations
to support exemplary projects in the traditional arts.  Grant awards range
up to $7,500.  Application postmark deadline is August 1, 2009.  Projects
may begin as early as January 1, 2010, and end by December 31, 2010.

 

Apprenticeship Program encourages the continuation of the state's
traditional arts and cultures by making $3,000 contracts with master artists
to train qualified apprentices.  Application postmark deadline July 15,
2009.  Apprenticeships may begin as early as January 1, 2010, and end by
December 31, 2010.

 

Traditional Arts Development Program makes contracts up to $1,500 to support
consultancies, mentorships, and travel opportunities that foster a new level
of growth for individual folk & traditional artists and organizations.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

 

ACTA's programs are made possible by the generous support and partnership
from the California Arts Council, the California Community Foundation, the
Columbia Foundation, the Fresno Arts Council, the East Bay Community
Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, the Walter & Elise Haas Fund, the
William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and
the San Francisco Foundation.
