"African Myths" 
Barbara Van Arnam 
Paintings/Solo Exhibit 



Gallery 25 for the month of May is presenting a one person show of Barbara Van Arnam's work. Inspiration for this body of work began with the artist being approached to exhibit paintings in a gallery in Accra, Ghana. The artist began this series as an exploration of the connection between our culture and the African culture as it resonates through the profound common thread of myth and story. This is our human story, told as a grandparent would explain to the family of where we came from and of how we relate to all around us.
