On Point Biography:
On Point Dance started in December 2006, dancing out of a two car garage. It
is now a family of all races and ages, from all walks of live, who learned
to adapt and love one another to achieve a common goal. In finding ourselves
as a dance family, we fell in love with funk music and culture and have
centered our focus on the funk styles popping and locking, while
implementing both styles into modern hip hop. On Point Dance is looking to
share and share in the vast hip hop culture with other dancers, and dance
families to learn and grow this gift that we have all been blessed with. In
our journey we have dance along side groups such as Rhythm Inc.,
thatONEcompany, and Poreotics, at events such as Breakthrough Dance
Competition and Step It Up. On Point is looking to make a never before seen
impact on the dance community here in Fresno, and show fellow dancers that
there is much more out there for hip-hop dancers like ourselves.
What is Dance?:
Dance is our way of life! It is our culture, our identity, and our passion.
Why is it important to you?:
Because of dance, we never gave up on life, on each other, or on ourselves!
