VALLEY POET MICHAEL LUIS MEDRANO TO DISCUSS WRITING PROCESS, PUBLISHING
INDUSTRY

 

Fresno native Michael Luis Medrano will talk about his experiences
publishing his first book during a visit to California State University,
Fresno, on Nov. 12. The Chicano Writers and Artists Association will host
“In Conversation with Fresno Poet Michael Luis Medrano,” a discussion about
becoming a writer and using the San Joaquin Valley as the landscape for his
first book Born in the Cavity of Sunsets, a collection of poems.

Copies of Medrano’s book will be available for cash purchase. The event is
free and open to the public. It was sponsored by CWAA, the MFA in Creative
Writing program at Fresno State, and the university’s Associated Students
Inc.
