Nick's Bio
NICK BELARDES, who hails from Bakersfield, CA, once practically peed his pants while reading a "call to action" poem to 10,000 people gathered for immigration rallies in 2006. His latest book Random Obsessions isn't poetry but rather a compendium of oddities. He also wrote the strange noir fiction, "Lords" (2005), which is a fictional account of the infamous Lords of Bakersfield.

Belardes turned TV/online journalist overnight after blogging his way to success. His articles and essays have appeared on the homepage of CNN.com and other news sites across America.
