First Annual Juried Art Show
December 17, 2009 to January 10, 2010
 
The Butte County Watercolor Society, BCWS, wish to invite all water media
artists to apply for entry in our First Annual Juried Watercolor Exhibition.
$1500.00 cash awards will be distributed. The exhibit will be displayed at
the Chico Art Center Gallery, in Chico California. Please contact Butte

Juror: Ann Pierce
Juror Ann Pierce has served as a regional and national juror and her work
has received awards for over 25 national and regional exhibitions. Her
paintings have been exhibited in several solo shows. Ann’s work has been
published in numerous books and magazines including American Artist and
Splash. Throughout her artistic career her work is enjoyed in many public
and private collections. She is retired as Art Department Chairperson,
California State University Chico. 
 
About BCWS
Butte County Watercolor Society was founded in 2007. BCWS is currently
preparing for the third Annual Members Show. Benefits of membership include
opportunities to exhibit their work through galleries, museums and local
venues. Once a month members gather for workshops, critiques, and
networking. Membership fee is $35 per year
 
IMPORTANT DATES
October 20 – Entries mailed no later than (postmarked).
November 16 – Notifications for rejection or acceptance will be mailed. 
December 14 – Paintings dropped off at the Chico Art Center 1 p.m. to 7:30
p.m.
December17 – Reception/Opening 5 to 8 p.m.
January10 – Show closes.

First Entry– Non – Members $20
All additional entries $10 per entry
 
BCWS welcomes all water media artists to enter regardless of where you live.
Exhibition is Open to all Artists 18 years or older.
You need not be a BCWS member to enter.
