Silver Medalist of the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Joyce Yang returns to Fresno after her celebrated recital during the 2006-2007 season. Critically acclaimed as one of “the most gifted young pianists of her generation” with a “million-volt stage presence,” this Korean-born artist captivates audiences around the globe with her stunning virtuosity combined with heartfelt lyricism and interpretive sensitivity. At only twenty-three, she is already firmly established in the international concert world through her innovative solo recitals and notable collaborations with the world’s most prestigious orchestras. 

Ms. Yang is replacing the originally scheduled pianist Mikhail Rudy who had to cancel his North American tour due to a hand injury.
