NEWS FROM THE TRAIL - February 2010 - Calling All Artists!

Sierra Art Trails 2010 Call to Artists has begun!

Please join us for this special event!  Now in its 8th year, Sierra Art
Trails has earned a reputation for excellence, and is highly anticipated by
repeat visitors and art collectors. Sierra Art Trails (SAT) encompassing
more than a dozen communities in  Madera and Mariposa counties.
Participating artists are featured in the tour catalog, included in a
month-long Preview Exhibit, and benefit from extensive advertising promoting
the event. The show attracts art buyers from throughout California and
beyond.  By participating you are not only promoting your own work, you are
also supporting your community by making it a place people look forward to
visiting!  

The submission process for SAT 2010 is now open! Submission Deadline - April
15, 2010

SIERRA ART TRAILS NEED YOU!   

SAT is seeking volunteers to work on a variety of tasks including event
planning, catalog development and distribution, marketing and advertising,
graphic design, docents, student mentors, and fundraising.  Volunteers make
it happen! If you are interested in helping out at any level please let us
know!

sponsors to help us to continue to support the arts in our area.  

Your contributions make it possible for us to produce our annual Open Studio
Tour and other special exhibits, to offer art scholarships  and  awards for
working artists and arts organizations, and to grow the Sierra Art Trails
public art fund.
